Things Get a bit Magical at Making Space this Summer with our ‘Myths, Magic and Monsters’ Holiday Activities

Flipping Monsters Monday 4th August Emily Stracey Come and make a fantastic flipping monster book. Flip the pages to change their bodies and heads around!!
Magical Indigo Tee’s Wednesday 6th August Mary Vormawah Use wax resist and create stencils of your favourite monsters to decorate your T-shirt and then watch as nature's own magic dye indigo turns from yellow/green to blue in front of your own eyes. Bring your own t-shirt.
Flower Fairies & Enchanted Trinkets Friday 8th August Ami Lowman  Make your own miniature flower fairy friends then have a chance to make some matching enchanted jewellery for you to wear.
Monster Madness Tuesday 12th August Jemma Graham  Cover a balloon in paper mache to make the body of your monster then add arms, legs, horns, fangs and more to complete your design, finally painting in whatever crazy colours you wish!!
Garden Gargoyles Thursday 14th August Will Spankie  Come and carve an ugly gargoyle in breeze block to paint afterwards. Make the ugliest face you can using hammer and chisel.
Screen Printed Monster Tee’s Monday 18th August Lucy McLoughlin Draw the weirdest monster you can imagine then cut out a stencil and screen print your own design onto a T-shirt to take home with you. Bring your own t-shirt.
Giant Inflatable Monster Wednesday 20th August Sarah Macrae Join in the fun by getting into a big team and making the biggest, oddest monster you can imagine from bin bags and plastic. When you've completed the design watch in amazement as the monster fills with air and comes to life!!
Silver Wire Goblins, Fairies & Creatures Friday 22nd August Kate Groombridge Use silver plated wire to make miniature mythical characters from your own drawings then decorate with sewn collages!
Clay Critters Tuesday 26th August  Emily Stracey Come and draw the craziest monster you can imagine and then re-create it in clay. Make a funky little friend to take home with you!
Mythical Masks Thursday 28th August Lucy McLoughlin Design your favourite mythical creature then using all kind of arty, crafty materials make your design into your own fantastic monster mask and matching accessories.

Scary, Hairy Monster Masks Wednesday 29th October Kayleigh Steele Complete your spooky Halloween costume by creating a super scary monster mask. Will yours be a witch, a vampire or a monster?
Pumpkin Carving Friday 31st October  Ami Lowman Just in time for Halloween… Come and design your own scary face then carve it into a pumpkin!! (*Please bring your own small pumpkin)

All workshops will take place at Making Space, Bishopstoke Road, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 5BN.

£5.00 per child per workshop session.

Session 1: 10am-1pm and Session 2: 1.30pm-4.30pm.

10 Children per session. Children must be over 7yrs. Children can come along unaccompanied.
